The scope of this project involved construction of two new two-story buildings at the original student center. The buildings were designed to house student resource centers and a new café/lounge. The facility encompasses 13,593 s.f. and includes offices, administrative areas, training related facilities and conference rooms.

Straub has received several awards for its performance on this project. These include: American Institute of Architects, San Diego Chapter, 2006 Design Citation Award; and, Associated Builders & Contractors, San Diego Chapter Excellence in Construction Excellence Award, 2006; and The Associated General Contractors (San Diego Chapter) 2007 Build San Diego Awards (Finalist).
