Small Business Subcontracting Program
Straub Construction, Inc. recognizes the positive impact and influence of small businesses in our construction industry. In support of this important client base, we offer continuous bid opportunities and mentoring services to the following small business categories:

Our Small Business Subcontracting Program is structured to facilitate easy communication between general contractor and subcontractor; to allow for fast and efficient delivery of construction documents and files across the Internet, to ensure total Government compliance; and to utilize the latest technology in support of increasing small business participation in federally funded, public works, or university related construction projects. We believe our coordinated efforts have led to many new business opportunities for both our company and our small business clients.
If you are a small business interested in participating in our Small Business Subcontracting Program, then we invite you to register your company with Straub Construction by completing an Organization & History (O&H) form and returning it to Straub’s Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO),Stacey Jeffers, who will provide continuous monitoring and support for our growing base of small business clients.
Straub Construction, Inc. requires that all subcontractors be prepared to execute Straub Construction Inc.’s standard subcontract form and furnish 100% payment/performance bonds from a treasury-listed surety on Straub Construction, Inc.’s form. Straub Construction, Inc. reserves the right to waive bonds or accept alternate security. Subcontractor shall pay all costs. Straub Construction, Inc. will reimburse bond costs, not to exceed 1 ¼%. Subcontract/bond forms are available upon request. We will require that all participating companies carry Workers Compensation and Liability Insurance and be bonded. All subcontractor bids must be valid for 30 days beyond the acceptance period referenced in the project specifications. All subcontractor bids will be considered to be in full compliance with the owner’s general conditions, plans and specifications. We will assist with obtaining insurance, bonds or lines of credit. Subcontractors must comply with all local, state and federal wage compliance requirements; and all local, state and federal safety requirements.
